What we think
BSCIC's own record makes this announcement hard to take at face value. Its Sirajganj park, also 400 acres, started in 1999, missed deadline after deadline, and still was not fully complete by 2023, with cost climbing from Tk 197 crore to over Tk 719 crore. A Munshiganj printing park barely moved in eight years. Even parliament's own committee has said it has no confidence in BSCIC's project handling. Bogura's SMEs deserve more than a winter start date. They deserve a public timeline with fixed milestones for land filling, roads, and plot handover, so this does not become another decade long delay with rising costs and frustrated entrepreneurs.
